Hair Extensions Care Guide
These aftercare tips are to ensure that your hair extensions stay looking great and in top quality.

Always ensure that you: Secure your hair with one hand when brushing/detangling hair

Always brush the ends first and work your way up using a specialised extension brush

Brush hair before washing to ensure that it is tangle free

When shampooing the hair, work vertically, not in a circular motion as this will create fewer tangles.

Hair should ideally be washed in the upright position in the shower

Only condition from the ponytail down

Use a leave in conditioner on the ends of the hair to keep it soft

Avoid over using hot styling tolls on the hair

Only use the correct products on the extensions (shampoo, conditioner, heat protectors) to sustain the high quality of the hair

Shampoo your hair immediately after swimming in the sea or swimming pool to remove chlorine and salt from the hair

Tie your hair in a low loose ponytail or plait when sleeping

Things to avoid with your hair extensions
Going to bed with wet hair Conditioning the roots where the extension attachments are positioned

Attempt to maintain or remove extensions yourself

Leave your hair wet for long periods of time without detangling it or drying it

Leave your extensions in longer than advised as damage will occur.

Holiday Aftercare
Salt water and chlorine can be damaging to the condition and may discolour the extensions.

It is recommended that the hair is tied up or plaited out of the way whilst swimming.

Sun cream and self-tan can also discolour extensions and so it is advised that hair is tied up off of your back and neck to avoid any contact with your sun cream.

Exposure to the sun can be damaging to the condition and may discolour the extensions, it is a good idea when sunbathing that your hair is covered with a hat.
